I for one DO live near the ocean and I do love this program, it really helps me fall asleep. It is slightly repetative but not like some other wave generators I've heard. Besides, on calm days the ocean will sound something like this.
I also think it's interesting to try and recreate a natural sound purely by electronic means and cheers to the developer for being experimental.
And for those bitching about the five dollar fee for the entire program, give me a break. That's the same price or less as a drink at a bar. I'm guessing some of you don't get out much though. ;p

This is pretty expensive for white noise. I even tried John's settings, and although they improve the rythm of the sound, it still sounds like white noise and nothing else.

this DOES NOT sound like the ocean...it sounds like what it really is.... WHITE NOISE/STATIC...and as shareware, I think people would benefit more from listening to radio or TV static, it's the SAME thing but FREE!

For those who've asked, here's what I have my settings at currently (whic seems to be pretty realistic compared to Florida beaches):

five dollars? HA HA HA! you can get the same effect by putting an air compressor hose in and out of your ear. This would'nt even be cool if it was free.
